Classic Cars Challenge China (4C) from 9-21 October 2017

Classic Cars Challenge China 2017 (4C) is a wonderful and exciting opportunity to visit China with your classic car and participate in a FIVA-sanctioned regularity rally during the country’s clement autumn season, writes Peter Baker, Editor-in-Chief of Retro-Speed.

Lin and I visited China for the second time a couple of years’ ago. But, whereas first time around we followed the tourist trail, the trip was even more special because we took our classic car on what proved to be a very different voyage of discovery. The five days of mild competition introduced us, and our Jaguar Mk2, to people and areas of countryside normally bypassed by even the best travel agencies and opened up China in a way only rallying can do.

Again, this October, around fifty crews, thanks to the organisers Classic Vehicle Union of China, will have the chance of enjoying the very best of Chinese hospitality and compete along with their cars on the 1,400km 4C, starting from Beijing and finishing in Shanghai twelve days later.

With thanks to the sponsors’ generosity, and in cooperation with Retro-Speed Magazine, 4C is offering two free places on this event, which will include first class hotels and all meals for two people from 9-21 October, sight-seeing and rally support. Participants will be responsible for the shipping of their cars together with custom charges, visas and return airfares to China, which are not included.

Don’t miss out on the chance to be included on the short-list for selection of a free entry to 4C, as this closes on 1 June. For more information contact lin@retro-speed.co.uk.
