Trackrod Rally Yorkshire pledges great deal for competitors

• Entry fees FROZEN at 2025 level

The organisers of Trackrod Rally Yorkshire (25-26 September) have made a commitment to give competitors the best possible package for the gravel rally in the famous Yorkshire forests.

The route will offer long special stages in the classic Yorkshire forests, including a 12-mile stage in the main Dalby complex in a route of 43 miles for Saturday's Trackrod Forest Rally and 55 stage miles for the Trackrod Historic Cup, which runs on Friday evening and Saturday. This year's event is round five of the Protyre BTRDA Rally Series and the penultimate round of the Fuchs Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship.

In recognition of the current difficult times for competitors, the commitment includes holding the entry fee at 2025 levels, running fair mileage for both elements of the event, a compact road route to contain both cost and time and one of the best organised forest rallies of the year.

Importantly, Saturday's five long special stages will all be single usage and the Trackrod will be one of only three forest rallies in Yorkshire this year, coming seven months after some of the stages were used on the Riponian Rally in February. Other Trackrod stages have not been used since the 2025 event.

For this year, the Trackrod will not use the Langdale stage as the forest continues to recover from the after effects of the moorland fires of 2025. Instead, the Trackrod organisers have maximised the use of the Dalby complex to give competitors the mileage promised.

Clerk of the course Rod Parkin said: "We recognise that these are challenging times for all competitors and we wanted to offer them the best possible package that we could with a quality event, single use stages and an overall value for money rally. We're a passionate organising team and we see this as an important commitment to our competitors.”

The Trackrod Historic Cup, running over 55 stage miles, will have a ceremonial start and finish on the seafront at Filey, which gives spectators a chance to see the cars and crews at close quarters. It is the penultimate round of the Fuchs British Historic Rally Championship and will open with a 12-mile stage in Dalby Forest in the dark on Friday evening.

Running over 43 stage miles will be Saturday's Trackrod Forest Stages, round five of the Protyre BTRDA Rally Series. This element of the event will also be based in Filey but the start on Saturday morning will be nearer the forests at the Galtres Retreat, which is a much improved Pickering Showground.

Regulations for both events will be published on Saturday 1 August (Yorkshire Day!) and entries will open on Friday 7 August.

Other championships featuring on the event are the Kingfisher Insurance Motorsport UK English Rally Championship, MINI Rally Challenge, Motoscope Northern Historic Gravel Rally Championship, Alpha Concrete ANEMMC Stage Rally Championship, Association of North Western Car Clubs Forest Rally Championship and the Proflex Association of Northern Car Clubs Stage Rally Championship.
