The Roger Albert Clark Rally

Tuesday 26 August 2025 Route for Welsh legs of Roger Albert Clark Rally unveiled.

The route for the opening two days of this year's Roger Albert Clark Rally has been confirmed with competitors set to tackle 110 miles of classic Welsh forest special stages as well as a spectator friendly asphalt stage at the Pembrey race circuit. The event, which runs from November 20-24, organised by the Roger Albert Clark Rally Motor Club is the longest and toughest special stage rally in the UK and 2025 has drawn a capacity entry of 200 cars.

The opening leg on Thursday November 20 is designed to be a relatively gentle lead into the event with 34 competitive miles starting and finishing at Carmarthen Showground.
With many overseas crews and a record number of new competitors to the rally, day one has purposely been designed as a shorter and easier day. The action opens with an absolute classic Welsh forest stage covering more than 10 miles in the Crychan forest as the perfect introduction to the five days that lay ahead.
Crews will then head across the road into Cefn for a short but challenging three-mile stage before heading south to the Pembrey race circuit near Llanelli. At Pembrey there will be a re-group control and a 25-minute service followed by two runs of a 3.2-mile special stage and another 15-minute service.
With the two stages running interlinked at 30-second starts, this will be a perfect opportunity for spectators to see the action and get close to the cars and crews in service. In total, each car will be at Pembrey for nearly two hours.

After Pembrey the route then heads north again for a second run through the Crychan and Cefn forest stages before the finish of the leg at Carmarthen Showground from 4:30pm onwards.
After a relatively easy day on Thursday day two, Friday 21 November, is a much tougher proposition, with more than 80 miles of prime Welsh forest stages in seven separate stages, including a whopping 16-mile stage in the Sweet Lamb/Hafren region.

The opening car leaves Carmarthen show ground at 7.31am to head to Myherin for a classic WRC-style 13.9-mile stage before moving across the A44 into the 16 miles of Sweet Lamb/Hafren. Then comes another classic Welsh stage of Dyfnant at just under 10 miles before a re-group and service area at Welshpool. After the break, the action resumes with a single run through Cwmysgawen at just under five miles before second runs through Myherin, Sweet Lamb/Hafren and Dyfnant with the first car due back at Welshpool at just after 8pm.

The whole rally will then move north to Carlisle and restart at lunchtime on Saturday 22 November. Rally manager manager Colin Heppenstall said: "We are pleased to unveil the route outline for the opening two days of the rally. I'd like to thank everyone who has helped bring this route together and in particular Natural Resources Wales. "We want to encourage spectators to head for Pembrey on Thursday, which will offer ideal viewing of two stages and the chance to see competitors in service as well as excellent facilities. On Friday, the main spectator location will be in Sweet Lamb, which will be a dedicated spectator area with extensive viewing across a variety of corners, jumps and water splashes.” Spectator information and ticket sales will be available in September. More details will be announced shortly. Please follow the event web site for up to date information www.racrmc.org or Facebook @RogerAlbertClark
